Creating - Prop, Lottery ticket

Because Camelot (the lottery parent company) didn't allow us to use their logo in our short film, we had to look into other ways to create a lottery ticket. There was only really one way to do this which is to create our own lottery ticket. We set out to do this by designing the ticket on photoshop. Our first port of call was making a lottery company and having a logo for this. We came up with: 'The DTEC Lottery' because it was simple and linked to our company therefore we had a little cameo of sorts. This was the lottery company logo we created.

Now we had the logo, we had to make the actual lottery ticket. For the ticket we used a business card sizing template due to the fact we wanted the ticket to be around that size and we wanted to create a view of the ticket when placed with other tickets. We started by using the colour on the logo as a background as lottery tickets we researched are a pinkish colour. We decided to go a bit more neutral because we didn't want to copy. We then started adding text such as disclaimers saying that we take no responsibility for unclaimed tickets etc. in order to make it look professional. We then begun to add numbers. We chose 2 different lines because with our lottery you are allowed to have 2 sets of numbers for one ticket in order to double your chances. When choosing the numbers we picked them at random which now, looking at the situation probably was a bad idea as we could have had other cameos and easter eggs within the film that relate to us which makes it more interesting however it doesn't make a difference that we did it this way. we then went on to add more disclaimers and eventually made a barcode to add to the bottom of the ticket. This was the end of our ticket and we thought it looked really professional and like a proper ticket so we were happy with our efforts.
