Because I am a freelance graphic designer, I wanted to do more extensive research into logos.
The first logo I chose to analyse was the warner brothers logo. My first initial thoughts were that I would never be able to make something this good. The logo is very professional and is known worldwide. The branding of the company and its popularity could be a reason why it looks so good, because you associate the logo with the company that creates professional films. I like the gold in this logo and it works really well with the colours within it. However at first look, it doesn't strike me as a film logo. Another aspect of the logo I like is the 3D look of it. I feel it is definitely something we can use in our film logo.
Now this is a different take on the logo. This is a film production company called 'Dark Room'. This logo is a lot more graphically designed as there is a hidden old 3D look. Personally I prefer this logo because it is more to my style of design however it looks like it hasn't had much work put into it. That being said, I find the logo really aesthetically pleasing and i feel it is a great logo, simplistic yet powerful. I feel there is a lot of inspiration to take from this logo.
I love this logo! As a graphic designer I feel it really goes well with the company and It just looks amazing. The simplicity makes the logo so clean but there is still complexity within the logo also. I feel that we can take a lot of inspiration from this logo in our logo and I want to create something similar. Obviously I don't want to copy the logo as we want to be unique but we can still take inspiration. In conclusion I feel that we have looked at a range of professional logos and low budget production companies and we can create something great.
