The film starts off with a black screen and the sound fades in a good 7 seconds before the image. There is a close up for the first shot of a man, which you presume to be the main character. You can see the tension on his face which correlates to the slight movement of the camera. The next shot is again a moving close up, however this time of car keys establishing that the character you've just seen is in a car. Again there is another establishing shot, which is a really slight pan showing where the scene is set, setting the scene more. You see the bank and with the car in front and after listening to the sound before the first shot came on you put together that they're robbing the bank.
There are more shots (closeups and medium closeups) that show tension that have very slight movement to build up tension however still keeping it fairly calm. There are more different shots to build up tension again, now moving a little more frantically. There is a lot more going on now as you can hear a helicopter, dogs barking and just non diegetic sound, used to show that it's quiet and tense. Then comes a significant shot. A long shot of the car as a fly lands on it. There is then a close up of the fly which tells me it's a significant character.
Then theres an interesting take on the shot reverse shot as it is not a conversation but you do see the man reacting to the fly and what it is doing. It then shows a reaction from the man as it pans along the windscreen. So far the sound has been quite quiet with no dialogue. The only sound you've heard so far is sound effects from outside the car and the fly. It's almost as if you're waiting for something to come out and scare you. In terms of editing so far it's been continuous and not really moved fast pace or slow pace but maintained a normal speed.

The title sequence then comes on which frightens you because the music it comes on with is really loud and unexpected. I don't like the music personally because I feel it doesn't correspond with the rest of the film so far. The film so far has been really quiet and the music doesn't go with it. The title itself is really unexpected also as it flashes and really doesn't fit with the style of the film I have seen so far and I really don't like it.
It then switches to a slow pan towards the door of the bank with non diegetic sound coming from the bank. So far the bank isn't in that much chaos and is quite quiet. I really like this pan as it is slow and meaningful yet still linked with the noise is very powerful. The music also portrays tension within the bank. It then switches back to the car where the man is getting more agitated and the camera shake portrays this. Sound then becomes more important as it focuses on the noise of the fly. There is then a pan on the front of the car that is slow yet the reactions of the character are not.

Editing then turns into really fast pace, simulating panic. As the fly is buzzing it calms down and portrays this with a pan. It then goes on further with continuous editing showing what is happening in the car from different angles. After continuous editing further it cuts to another pan of the door once again, bringing you back to the task at hand which is robbing the bank. The sound from the bank is getting louder and what sounds like more violent. It goes back to what it was which was more fast paced than before. It then does slight jump cuts to show what he's doing but in a faster pace.
Personally, I thought this short film was really interesting to watch. There were many good shots that really made the whole short dramatic and really good. My favourite aspect of the film has been the sound. Just the simple background noise really manages to create an amazing dynamic for the film I think if we can create a short similar to this we won't have a bad film at all!
